Waiting on a Decision in the Desdunes Trial

I checked in with Matt Hayes, the reporter covering the trial for The Ithaca Journal, to see what was happening with the decision from the hazing trial connected to the death of George Desdunes at Cornell. He indicated that with the bench trial (no jury), the judge is not bound to deliver an immediate decision. He indicated that this judge has a heavy case load, and very little staff support, and the now month-long delay is not unusual.

With no set timeline, we will keep a lookout for Matt’s article once the decision is delivered.
